World Cup Maze Uruguay

World Cup Maze Uruguay by Warren Stokes

The flag of Uruguay was motivation to try a game scene with a major symbol on the flag.  I loved the challenge of continuing the maze without taking from the sun. I have a few more country mazes in the coming days. Enjoy the art and play the maze. Maze rules are simple! Find a for starting point on the maze. Using a toothpick navigate to a for the win! If you hit a dead-end start over at the beginning S. Enjoy!

Mazing Motivation Fall Summer

Fall Summer! maze by Warren Stokes

“Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.” Roger Miller

The motivation behind this maze is my love of fall weather in the middle of a hot summer. I started out wanting to draw a dead leaf with snow and turned more into a living leaf with rain. A drawing for rain. Or rain drawing!!! Although I can’t take credit for the few thunderstorms the past few days I definitely were grateful for them!

I wanted to try something new to show you my process. Using GIF!

For the past few years I have been applying for public art projects, only to be rejected a few 100 times. I feel I was turned down not because of art but my lack of public art/free standing object experience.

About two years ago I started look for an artist who has experience with public art experience.  I’m proud to announce after an extensive search I’ve partnered with sculpture and welder Wayne Collins.

Wayne not only brings the ability to bring my ideas to the world of steel but brings more than 15 years experience in iron work and fabrication!

With our mutual love for art look for Wayne and I to maze out the public art community on a nationwide level in 2015!!! STAY TUNED in the new year!!!

Thanks Washington Redskins!

This will be the maze used in the Washington Redskins activity book to promote literacy. My second year participating in the publication was a challenge. Because the way maze-ing works I had to play with a few things to make the spear standout. This is their alternate helmet.

Although it was tough I love how it looks. I want to thank the organization for believing in my style and giving me an opportunity to provide art for the youth of the D.C. area. Hopefully my Broncos will see the light and hire me to maze out the Bronco!
